Great Blasket Island

tra ban

The history behind the island is fascinating, ruins of the settlers homes is really amazing. Wild rabbits, sheep and deer inhabit the island by the hundreds but the best surprise of all are the hundreds of seals in the colony on the beach. The Ferry ride costs twenty euros for a round trip, but is well worth it. The views and photo opportunities are incredible. There are several paths, both easy and more difficult, or just make your own. Two hours on the island is perfect. Book your trip with Mick Sheeran - www.marinetours.ie
